Killer flounder and mackerel bite – again….

By |2020-09-22T10:36:34+00:00August 6th, 2011|Uncategorized|

Great bite today - crushed the 5-7lb spanish and small kings...then worked on the flounder, landing about 25 with 18keepers, several bass, triggers, etc. Highlight was laura catching a 7lb citation flounder! Tried to grouper fish - landed 5 just under until I ran out of "primo" baits. Great day guys!

I had a great time with Mike and michael this afternoon casting to breaking schools of spaniards. They were picky, but we managed a good amount of fish and several nice fish. Michael with his big blue!

After crushing the flounder yesterday - alex and andrew hoped to do the same today. We caught a few, and hooked a bunch, but we found them uncooperative and not all that ready to eat a menhaden. After landing several (including a 4lb'r), a few seabass and a big virginia hake...we decided to light-line some [...]

The spanish are back.

By |2019-02-27T06:18:55+00:00July 29th, 2011|Uncategorized|

After 3 days of poor spanish showings they came back in good numbers today - and a good size to boot. We light-tackled a great quality bite. The lovely Taylor smoked her dad and grandpa catching the biggest, the most and the most at 1 time (3 blues on one squid rig)! Good job girl!

After getting some good blues as bait - we're 1 for 3 on the sharks, breaking off a hoss, pulling the hooks on one and boating this 30lb blacknose....still at it as we speak.
