I had a hunch - went with it. Found a school - fish in the boat right away!

With guys here for 3 straight days and a pretty poor forcast we made it work today. Fishing was ok - lots of black seabass, flounder, etc. Jimmy got this great 'cuda on a popper - great strike. Ended the day with a bonnethead and had 2 decent cobes swim right past the boat.

Dave really hoped we'd run into a cobia on the wreck today. While we did very well with the flounder - no cobia. On the way home we decided to try the port - 2nd (and last) cast -cobia. Only 28" but still a fun way to end the day. That's four cobia out of [...]

Good bite this morning - Martha with a 7lb citation!

Still breezy out of the SW, but slacking, and the seas still rough. In the morning we bailed blues and a few spanish and moved on looking for something bigger. Mark hit a 5lb summer flounder and we released a few small sharks...saw a loggerhead in the port (of all places) with a big cobe [...]

Marcus with a couple of his many blues and spanish - which also helped him finish a merit badge! No sharks today - still just a hair early.

Not much to report lately other than really pretty, nice days and good nearshore stuff. I've been running a lot of half-days the last week or two, and we've been doing really well with spanish mackerel, bluefish, flounder, sharks, a few king mackerel and a few small cobia.
