Cancelled my trip this morning due to the ripping SW wind – so I finally have some time to post some pics and reports. I’ve been so busy running charters that I’ve barely had time to take pictures, let alone post them!

Lots of kings off the beach – on the days you can get to them. Tons of blues and a few spanish on the beach. The flounder bite is picking up steadily – it should pick up fast soon. You have to work for your fish but there are a lot there and a good size too.

6/9 – Second day with Kevin and crew. After being delayed by a thunderstorm, we did some sight-seeing and then went after flounder. Found a few right away but the wind picked up quickly and went trolling for spanish. Picked up some really nice blues (up to 3.5lbs) and a few 14 – 16′ spanish.

6/11 – After a hideously rough morning that we cut short due to quickly disintegrating ocean conditions, we had a good calm spell in the evening. I went fishing with katie to catch a few flounder, quickly, for dinner. We fished for 30 minutes right before dark and almost immediately brought in 4 nice flatties for supper. We tossed one back and kept three – seriously, with just two in the household, it takes us two meals to finish one fish!!

6/12 – rough.

6/13 – Fished this afternoon with my good friend Captain Dean Lamont – we tried to get out of the way of the 15-20knot SW wind and worked a few marsh points for a little while. Saw a ton of drum and dean boated this gorgeous 26.5 inch pup – just look at the blue on his tail!!! I also landed a 3lb flounder on tsunami swim bait.
