Inshore? Great Reds – exploring lots and lots of new water, particularly in the “gill net free” sanctuaries of eastern Carteret county. Reds are everywhere. The trout are really chewing too – more everyday. Ive caught more 4-5lbrs this summer than in several years prior.
Sharks? Spin and fly – amazing.
Nearshore? Bottom fish. Spanish (big and small). More sharks. Flounder. Oh – amberjacks? Bring a popper or a fly rod.
