Today I had Chris and Nickie onboard for some backwater action – it sure was nice to get out after 4 days of solid rain!
Started off catching a few blues in the inlet – saw some spanish jump but they are still a little scarce lately.
Reds were a little slower today – we struck out in our first stop until we found a small school and Chris managed several strikes landing a nice mid-slot fish. After this I was surprised by more big trout – we laid into a nice school in a slough landing a bunch of nice 2-3lb specks. Nicky caught the biggest trout but chris landed several small flounder and completed 2 inshore slams.
All fish were released other than 2 trout – good job guys!
