Caught more jacks on poppers until it got too calm…and did a number on the flounder. Bite was a little slow but still ended up with about 8 keepers.
On the way home we hit about 6 or 7 menhaden balls until we found one with about 8 cobes on it – 1 cast was off the mark, 1 ended hooked up but lost with a broken sea striker jighead hook (heavy duty offshore version – not cool) – but ED was on the mark and he boated a 55lb’r. Back home!
Another pick of a popper jack for good measure…
