Huricane Irene aftermath.
First of all, I want to thank everyone who sent me emails and text messages checking on me and wishing us well. It really meant a lot. Pre-irene spanish.
Very nice day - cloudy in the morning. Sunny and very calm in the evening - water is green and clear with just a small swell rolling in. The morning gave us good spanish mackerel casting. Started off rough this morning - swelly and blowing out of the north. By midday it was slacking and slicking up - we had good bait and got on good fish. Big seabass and small grouper ruled the morning until we zero'd a great gag bite. Interupted only by a passing 12lb cow mahi (on a topwater plug), we got [...]
