3/24-3/28 – Excellent Drum and bountiful Seamullet

By |2019-02-27T06:28:29+00:00March 28th, 2007|Uncategorized|

During the past week or so, it's been warm, sunny and very pleasant. Most days have been more than fishable, and on the calmest days, I went drum fishing - and we absolutely killed them this past weekend. 2007 is going to be an epic year for drum - and what I am seeing now [...]

Sea Duck Hunting Video

A bit overdue, but I shot this video this past January on a great day - we filled out scoter bag in less than 15 minutes and had thousands and thousands of birds come through the decoys during the course of the day.

1/16-1/27 – END OF SEASON EXTRAVAGANZA

By |2019-02-27T06:28:30+00:00January 28th, 2007|Uncategorized|

While we had great success during the first three weeks of the season, regardless of the warm temps and mild weather, the cold snap during the second half of the season was just killer. Come the 16th and our first few cold nights, the birds started to pour in and the weather was perfect - [...]

1/11 – Great Mixed bag

By |2019-02-27T06:28:30+00:00January 11th, 2007|Uncategorized|

Today I got to hunt with my Dad, for a change and we ended up having a great morning. It was a cold bluebird day with light (10-12 knot) North winds. The action started off quick with a small group of b'bills and a lone scoter that we wiffed on. Than we (ahem, dad) accidentally [...]

1/3 – 1-6 – B’Bills, Gaddies, Black Duck, Goldeneye

By |2019-02-27T06:28:30+00:00January 6th, 2007|Uncategorized|

I keep hearing all this talk about there being no birds at the coast - welp, me and the birds we've been shooting this week sure didn't get that memo! One group I had this week (from Thurs-Sat) killed almost 35 birds in three days between 3 guys! Well, we never limited out but we [...]

12/28-12/30 – Gaddies, Black Ducks, Divers

By |2019-02-27T06:28:31+00:00December 30th, 2006|Uncategorized|

12/28 - Today I had the absolute pleasure of hunting with Jim and Todd - while the diver hunts have been the volume hunts lately they wanted to try their best to get a sprig or a black duck (a duck jim has pursued for over 5 years with no success). Things started out early [...]

12/21 + 12/22 – Two GREAT days!

By |2019-02-27T06:28:31+00:00December 22nd, 2006|Uncategorized|

The last 2 days have been days that you sit around in the blind thinking about the could have's, would have's and should have's. I had the pleasure of hunting with Kevin and Bud that joined me last year and this year they brought along Aaron that wanted to spend his senior trip this year [...]

12/10 +11 – CAPE LOOKOUT STRIPERS

By |2019-02-27T06:28:31+00:00December 11th, 2006|Uncategorized|

It's a bit early but the bass have made it down to the Cape Lookout area. 12/10 - On Sunday, I went out with my friend Dean Lamont to do a little scouting and perhaps look for some stripers. We spent the first part of the morning jigging for gray trout until we found some [...]

By |2019-02-27T06:28:31+00:00October 27th, 2006|Uncategorized|

I apologize for the lack of reports but I have been fishing day in and day out for the entire month with barely a moment to spare - and combined with taking katie and family members fishing before and after charters my schedule has been PACKED. But with fishing THIS GOOD - i can't think [...]
