First of all, I have several days open for last minute trips – including this Wednesday, Thurs AM and Friday. The forcast is amazing and just about everthing is doing well – inshore and, in particular, the ocean.
Give me a call if you want to go – its ashame to waste such amazing weather during such great fishing!
I had a bit of a tough week – gorgeous weather (and simply amazing fishing) but I had a no-show, a last minute  cancellation and green-group during pretty slick conditions and a visit to the dentist for some drilling-fun…all this last week! Can’t linger on the negative, but when I got out we had some excellent days!
Inshore – dock and hard-structure fishing is still very good for red drum and flounder…and the red drum fishing is picking up a bit in the shallows. The real story is still the EXCELLENT sheepshead and  black drum fishing with an emphasis on the sheepshead – best sheepie bite that I’ve experienced in years!
Nearshore – the spanish mackerel with absolutely thick this week nearshore and I did pretty well with the big 4-7lb gator spanish on the wrecks and around bait-balls. We also got into some very nice king mackerel. The flounder fishing is also pretty decent on the nearshore wrecks – I just haven’t gone out and done much of it!
Offshore – STILL WACKING THE MAHI-MAHI in the 15-25+ mile range with big numbers of fish…and plenty of AJs, cudas and sharks on the wrecks. We also had some great weedlines blow in nearshore this past week taht held good numbers of mahi from the small bailer sizes to nice gaffers. Most days we’ve caught 15+ mahi and we’re not traveling all that far – just need some sponsors to go out and chase them!Â

Ryan, Chris and I wacked the dolphin pretty good the first half of the the day and then got into an crazy surface  blitz of sharks, jacks and cudas busting on big schools of flying fish. They liked our live menhaden and we were covered up for a good bit! Good job y’all!

Alex with a nice mid-teens king caught nearshore!
Me with a 7.5lb sheepshead I caught this past week fishing after a trip with my wife – probably put 45 in the boat during just 3 hours!
